Bio

Sebastian Bidegain (b. 1996, Houston, TX) is an artist, designer, and educator who uses a range of techniques including 3D printing, casting, and electroplating to craft sculptures and objects. Sebastian is a physician by training, and he uses this background to draw inspiration from biological and molecular motifs.

After medical school he pivoted into art and design, with a focus on digital fabrication by working with Misha Kahn and also at Cornell Tech’s MakerLAB. He enjoys repurposing electronics, breathing new life into them through whimsical designs such as his Gamecube bluetooth speaker (GAINCUBE), a Froggy Electroplated Telephone (SAPOFONO), or hacking a 3D printer into a PCR thermocycler (PCR Printer) His portfolio includes rock sculptures, lamps, furniture, jewelry, and electronics, and has been showcased during NYCxDESIGN week.

You can browse some of his design work for sale under the brand Voidfill Studio.
